About Practices
If you are not sure that your child is ready for swim team, there will be a grace period at the beginning of the season. Each child must be able to complete a 25 yard swim continuously by the Tuesday, June 4th practice in order to remain on the team. We want to promote and implement safety in the pool and for the entire swim season. Keep in mind that we do offer swim lessons that will be available for any child at the beginning of the pool season. Simply fill out the contact form and a coach will reach out to set up private lessons.
Practice is very important to a swimmer’s progress in the water. Going to practice will enhance swimming skills and promote team spirit. Swimming requires repetition, attention to detail, along with the desire to succeed and learn. Please make sure to attend practice and arrive ten minutes before your start time.
During practices your child will be required to wear practice suits and swim caps. Team suits should only be worn at swim meets or swim team socials.
